We are being told there is a National Wing Shortage for a variety of reasons and excuses from our suppliers. This is expected to last through the summer. We will do our best to maintain inventory but unfortunately we will likely sell out from time to time. There is current litigation from Sonic, Chick-fil-A, Buffalo Wild Wings and others against the top chicken producers for this. Ironically, Tyson just recently settled their prior suit for 200+ million and Perdue for 100+ million for similar issues.
Due to this shortage our wing cost has also increased by 50%. This ocurred prior to the Superbowl with expectations it would normalize but that has not happened. As a result we will soon have to temporarily increase the cost of our wings to remain viable.
